In-house translators make the difference

How is it different? How can InScribe provide translation services faster and better than the competition?

In-house translators:We have our own team of professionals. That may sound like a simple concept, but it's unusual in the translation industry. Most translation companies don't work with in-house translators; they outsource the translation work.

We have experienced in-house native translators for Portuguese-English, English-Portuguese, Portuguese-Spanish, Spanish-Portuguese, English-Spanish, and Spanish-English. Whenever we accept projects in other languages that justify the investment, we hire new translators.

By using in-house translators, InScribe solves several problems that are inherent to the business models of other translation companies:
  1. Information security. The documents you submit for translation are never forwarded to non-employees and are kept safe (learn more in Quality and Security). On the other hand, when you submit your documents to companies that outsource their translations, you never know where your documents might end up. They may be sent around the world, delivered to translators outside the control and jurisdiction of either you or the translation service provider; this creates a serious threat to information security.

  2. Speed. InScribe uses its own technologies and processes to increase the efficiency of its translators. Companies that outsource translations have no control over the progress of the translator's work, who in turn may work at their own pace in an environment that may be fraught with distractions.

  3. Quality. When you submit a document for translation it is translated by one, and only one, of our translators, with support from our entire team as well as our state of the art technology. All of this ensures the quality of the translations (learn more in Quality and Security). On the other hand, other translation companies usually split a project into several pieces and piecemeal them off to several translators; this is done in an attempt to reduce the turnaround, but with so many translators working on a document, the structure, the uniformity of the language and the quality of the work are almost always compromised.

  4. Uniformity. At InScribe each client has its own Translation Memory and Glossary. Since we use in-house translators we are able to often assign a customer's translations to the same translator. You can rest assured that your translations will be uniform over time and this means that your message to your customer will always be presented in a consistent manner. Proofreading - ensure the quality of your final texts

If you already have the translated text, or if it was written directly in the target language, we can help ensure the quality of the translation. Send us the documents and our team will promptly review and correct all the inconsistencies and improperly translated expressions; we will then give you a report of corrected problems.
Audio and Video - transcription, translation and subtitling

We will be glad to help you with your media files. We can transcribe, translate and subtitle them for you.

  • Transcriptions - Before translation or subtitling can begin, the audio and texts in the video need to be transcribed, creating a document with all the content needed. We can transcribe both your video and audio files.

    If you don't need the translation or the subtitles, we will be glad to provide you just the transcription.

  • Transcription and translation - Once the texts are transcribed, we translate all the material, with the usual InScribe quality.

  • Subtitling - We then create the subtitles and generate the final version of your video, with the subtitles applied. If you prefer, we can give you the subtitle files (.srt, .ssa, etc.) so you can generate the final version of the video. If your video will be watched online (YouTube) the encoding process may not be necessary, the subtitle file may be enough.

    The quality of the video is also important. With the subtitling, the best that can be hoped is that the processing doesn't reduce the quality of the original video. It's important that the resolution and bitrate of the original be high enough to ensure the quality.
